Power with Peace of Mind

VoltX Energy batteries are built to last and are backed by a clear, reliable warranty so you can use your system with confidence. For product-specific details, always check the product page or the warranty PDF for that item.

What Our warranty covers

  • Product warranty – Standard 120-month (10 year) coverage from installation or shipment against defects in materials and workmanship, unless stated otherwise for a specific product.
  • Battery performance – Your battery is guaranteed to retain at least 80% of its usable capacity for the duration of the warranty period, unless otherwise specified.
  • Workmanship – Products are warranted to be free from defects caused by workmanship during the warranty period; depending on the issue, we may repair the product on-site or at a service centre, or replace it with the same or a similar product.
  • End-of-life – System lifetime expectancy is outlined in each product’s own warranty; system removal or disposal at end-of-life may involve extra costs, so contact VoltX Energy for guidance.

VoltX Energy’s contractual warranty operates alongside any manufacturer warranties and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

When the Warranty May Not Apply

The warranty does not cover faults or defects when:

  • The issue is not reported within the warranty period.
  • The fault arises from actions by anyone other than VoltX Energy or its subcontractors.
  • The problem is caused by extreme weather or other external events.

Systems are designed for permanent installation and are not intended to be portable. If you need to relocate a system, this must be done professionally and may involve additional costs.

Cooling-off, Termination and Refunds

Cooling-off – You have 10 business days from signing your system contract to cancel without penalty.

You may terminate in writing if, for example:

  • Grid connection approval is refused.
  • The final system design differs significantly from what was agreed.
  • Site-specific design and performance estimates are not provided before the cooling-off period ends.
  • The estimated installation time frame (within the retailer’s control) is not met.
  • Extra chargeable work appears that is not a valid variation and was not in the original contract.

If you terminate for one of these reasons, VoltX Energy will refund any amounts you have paid.

Some circumstances may lead to extra charges that are your responsibility, such as metering fees, damage to the meter panel, or unforeseen site conditions beyond VoltX Energy’s control. VoltX Energy is not liable for impacts on any roof manufacturer’s warranty, damage to the roof or property unrelated to installation, or loss arising where the owner’s property warranties have been breached.

A written notice of termination is considered received when hand-delivered on that day or when sent by email with proof of date, time, and recipient address.
