For example, if you are not connected to the electricity grid, a system with a high energy output would be most suitable so that you don’t have to worry about loads. On the other hand, if you are looking to have a battery storage system to power appliances and tools in your work shed, a smaller system could be quite effective.

Our Basic power system takes about 5 hours to install. The most important factor for installation time is the size of the system – bigger systems take significantly more time to install than smaller systems.

It depends. If you have space on your roof and your inverter can support the increase, it is possible. Alternatively, you could add a second system to your roof. However, it is important to note that increasing the size of an existing solar power system may affect your eligibility for a feed-in tariff. Yes, you can. But you may need to check the compatibility of the battery systems with your existing inverter.Also, the battery system can monitor and use existing solar systems with a simple form of AC coupling, but it cannot manage the solar or make the solar available during blackouts.

In the event of a blackout, your solar panel system will switch off if it is connected to the grid. This is to stop solar panels from transmitting power back to the grid, preventing injuries to emergency responders and electricity company workers. However, you can purchase some inverters that, when used with batteries, offer backup power during a power outage.

You can easily monitor and control battery performance by downloading the app via App Store or Google play whichever is compatible with your device. The app allows you to set configurations for your battery as well as monitor it capacity. There is also a webpage you can log in to monitor and configure your battery.

No, our DIY Off-Grid Systems come with pre-wired connectors. All you need to do is mount the solar panels and connect the MC4 connector. Also, the batteries included in the DIY plans are shipped separately. These can also be connected very easily by the customers themselves.
