THE PROGRAM

What Is the Home Energy Saver NSW Program?

The Home Energy Saver program is an NSW Government initiative designed to help eligible households make energy-saving upgrades more affordable. It offers 0% interest loans of up to $15,000 for eligible upgrades, including residential batteries, with repayments available over up to 10 years.

The program can help eligible households:

  • Access a discount of up to $4,000 if they meet the separate income or concession card requirements
  • Combine a solar battery with other eligible energy-saving upgrades within the program's funding limits
  • Apply based on household income, with the loan available to households earning up to $210,000 in combined taxable income
  • Revisit a battery purchase that may previously have been delayed because of the upfront cost
Discount applications are coming soon. If you may be eligible for both a discount and a loan for the same upgrade, the NSW Government recommends applying for the discount first.
