Three reasons. It locks in your rebate price (so STC market shifts don't affect you). It reserves stock and an install slot for you. And it tells us you're a serious buyer so we can prioritise your welcome call. The deposit is fully refundable until the morning of install — if anything doesn't work out, every cent comes back to you within 5 business days.

If a pre-install inspection finds that your home isn't suitable, we refund your deposit in full — no questions asked. We'll also let you know exactly what would need to change if you want to revisit it later.

Some homes may need extra work, such as a switchboard upgrade. If that happens, we’ll provide a separate quote for approval before proceeding. In some cases, installation may not be possible due to site conditions. If you decide not to proceed for any reason before installation, you can request a full refund.

Your quoted price includes the battery, inverter (AC-coupled or hybrid), standard installation by an SAA-accredited installer, app setup, a 10-year battery warranty, and applicable Federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebates already deducted.

If your site requires additional work — such as a switchboard upgrade, concrete slab, or narrow-access installation — we’ll provide a separate quote for approval before proceeding.

The Cheaper Home Batteries Program (effective 1 May 2026) provides an upfront discount based on your battery size. Larger battery systems may receive higher total rebates.

We apply the rebate directly to your quoted price, so there’s no paperwork required from you. Once you reserve your system, we lock in your rebate pricing to protect you from future rebate or STC market changes before installation.

Most installs are completed in one day, between 4 and 8 hours, with a brief power interruption while we connect to your switchboard. We'll book a date that works for you.
