As energy costs rise and environmental concerns grow, more homeowners and eco-conscious consumers are turning to renewable energy systems. VoltX Energy offers some of the most promising and cost-effective solutions, such as the VoltX™ Neovolt range.

A New Dawn for Residential Energy

Battery storage systems are transforming residential energy. For those looking for energy independence and substantial cost savings, VoltX Energy’s battery storage systems meet daily power needs and ensure energy availability during outages, providing both functionality and reliability.

Enhancing Solar with Advanced Battery Systems

By integrating an advanced system like the VoltX™ Neovolt with your existing solar panels, you can maximise the value of your solar investment. These systems store excess solar energy produced during peak sunlight hours and make it available during high-demand periods or at night, optimising energy efficiency and reducing grid reliance.

The VoltX™ Neovolt range is built for high performance, delivering up to 98.4% max efficiency and scaling from 19 kWh up to 48 kWh depending on your household’s needs.

Exploring the Economic Benefits

A solar battery storage system has plenty of economic benefits like lower electricity bills. Let’s discuss each of them:

Savings on Energy Bills

The core idea is simple. Instead of exporting your daytime solar for a low feed-in tariff, you store it and use it yourself during the evening peak, when grid electricity is most expensive. Here’s a worked example using current NSW time-of-use rates:

Rate
Evening peak rate (2 pm – 8 pm weekdays) ~$0.45/kWh
Feed-in tariff for exported solar ~$0.08/kWh
Value of shifting 1 kWh from export to evening use ~$0.37/kWh

If a battery lets you shift around 9 kWh of solar a day this way, that’s about $3.30 a day, or roughly $1,200 a year on top of whatever you’re already saving from solar alone.

That kind of saving is broadly how VoltX Energy arrives at its general 3 to 4-year payback estimate (based on a typical $410 quarterly bill). Your own numbers will depend on your tariff, how much solar you generate, and how much of it you use in the evening. Treat this as a starting point, but get a personalised estimate from your installer to be absolutely sure.

Boosting Property Value

Homes with on-grid solar battery systems and solar panels often have a higher market value, making this a smart investment in real estate.

Long-Term Reliability and Savings

With a 10-year warranty and the promise of reduced energy bills, systems like the VoltX™ Neovolt offer a return on investment within a few years, after which the savings continue to accumulate.

Incentives

There are also plenty of opportunities to save more upfront with government incentives. Here’s what’s available in Australia as of mid-2026:

  • Federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program: Provides an upfront, point-of-scale discount worth roughly 30% off the cost of an eligible battery, delivered through Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs). It’s tiered by capacity, full value on the first 14 kWh, with a reduced rate up to 28 kWh, and a smaller amount above that. It steps down every six months until the scheme ends in 2030.
  • NSW: The standalone state battery rebate has closed, but NSW now offers a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) incentive of up to roughly $1,500 through the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme for connecting an eligible battery to a VPP, which can be combined with the federal discount.
  • Victoria, SA, QLD, TAS, NT: State battery schemes have closed. Federal rebate only.

Because these programs change over time, it’s worth confirming current eligibility and figures with your installer before committing.

Targeting the Right Audience

Our systems are particularly beneficial for:

  • Homeowners in regions prone to power outages
  • Eco-conscious consumers aiming to lower their carbon footprints
  • Tech-savvy individuals who love to use smart home integration
  • Families seeking long-term savings on energy costs

Practical Applications in Everyday Life

VoltX Energy’s systems are versatile enough to meet a wide range of residential needs. They can power high-wattage appliances during blackouts and integrate with smart home systems to optimise energy use. These systems ensure that essential appliances like refrigerators, air conditioners, and medical devices stay operational during power cuts, providing added security and comfort in modern living.
