Your deposit at VoltX Energy secures your battery hardware, reserves your priority installation slot, and locks in your current government rebate price. This ensures everything is ready for your home while protecting you against stock delays or price increases.
If your circumstances change, the price fluctuates, or we find that a safe installation isn't possible for your home, your $249 is fully refundable — no questions asked.

Your deposit locks in your rebate price, reserves your battery stock and installation slot, and helps us prioritise your welcome call.
The $249 deposit is fully refundable up until the morning of installation. If anything doesn’t work out, you’ll receive a full refund within 5 business days of cancellation.
Some homes may need extra work, such as a switchboard upgrade. If that happens, we’ll provide a separate quote for approval before proceeding. In some cases, installation may not be possible due to site conditions. If you decide not to proceed for any reason before installation, you can request a full refund.
Your quoted price includes the battery, inverter (AC-coupled or hybrid), standard installation by an SAA-accredited installer, app setup, a 10-year battery warranty, and applicable Federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebates already deducted.
If your site requires additional work — such as a switchboard upgrade, concrete slab, or narrow-access installation — we’ll provide a separate quote for approval before proceeding.
The Cheaper Home Batteries Program (effective 1 May 2026) provides an upfront discount based on your battery size. Larger battery systems may receive higher total rebates.
We apply the rebate directly to your quoted price, so there’s no paperwork required from you. Once you reserve your system, we lock in your rebate pricing to protect you from future rebate or STC market changes before installation.
The federal rebate requires a connected rooftop solar panel system. If you don't have solar panels yet, talk to us — we work with installers who can do both at once.
Most Australian homes are single-phase — that's fine. If you're unsure, just pick "Not sure" at checkout. We'll show single-phase pricing for now, and our specialist will confirm your setup on the welcome call. If it turns out you have three-phase wiring (homes have wiring; the pricing is what we adjust), they'll walk you through any adjustments.
Most installs are completed in one day, between 4 and 8 hours, with a brief power interruption while we connect to your switchboard. We'll book a date that works for you.
