Who Is Eligible? 

The new federal rebate is here to help more Australians take control of their energy by making home battery systems more affordable. 

To qualify, your setup must meet the following criteria: 

  • You’re installing a new battery system for the first time at your property, or you’re adding at least 5 kWh of capacity to an existing system that hasn’t already received this rebate. 
  • The total battery capacity (new or upgraded) must fall between 5 kWh and 100kWh. 
  • Your battery system must be designed for permanent installation — not portable or intended for resale or relocation. 
  • The battery must be installed alongside a new or existing solar PV system. 
  • Only approved battery systems on the Clean Energy Council (CEC) product list are eligible. 
  • Electric vehicles and portable batteries are not eligible under this program.

    The federal rebate applies to eligible installations from 1 July 2025 onward. The VoltX Energy SmartRebate is available to eligible homeowners purchasing any qualifying VoltX Energy, VoltX™ Neovolt, Hinen, or Olipower Home Battery System. This rebate can be claimed in addition to the federal rebate, subject to eligibility. Offer will end on 4 November 2025.

  • Rebate Eligibility

    Access to the federal rebate is subject to customer eligibility as defined by the Australian Government’s rebate program guidelines. SmartRebate eligibility and rebate amounts vary depending on the selected battery model and package configuration.

  • Offer Exclusivity

    This program cannot be combined with any other promotions, offers, or discounts unless explicitly approved by VoltX Energy.

  • Installation Scope
